Brian’s senior music portraits showcase one of the things I love the most about senior story portraits. I believe a senior story session honestly and truly should reflect a senior’s interests. And Brian’s was perfect!
Senior Music Portraits
I’ve watched Brian perform a lot of times over the years…I love watching the year-end Fine Arts Performances every year. It’s been a pleasure watching him grow as a musician and performer.
When it was time to book Brian’s senior portrait session – his mom and I knew exactly what kind of story we wanted to portray.
Planning for Senior Music Portraits
Choosing a location for Brian’s senior story session was super-easy. We gathered first around his family piano, then hit his backyard in Jupiter Farms for an outdoor rustic vibe. The bell in the backyard is an antique, passed down from family farms. It had only recently been added to their home, and we were thrilled to showcase this piece of their family’s history.
Planning for wardrobe was just as easy. Brian started with just a gray button-up shirt and jeans. Later in the session, though, I convinced him to add a T-shirt underneath. Unbuttoning and leaving it un-tucked lends a casual, layered look that really fits the story we were going for. A newsboy cap finished off the look, and it was perfect!
Of course, for perfect senior music portraits, we needed musical instruments, and boy – did Brian have them. He’s such an incredible musician – we showcased piano, saxophone and clarinet. We could have done a lot, more, too, because he is super talented!
