Care Packages for College Students: A Fun and Informative Guide

Hey, senior mama. I know how you feel. I remember that roller coaster of activity and emotion between May 1st and August 30th 2018 and 2020. The years that my two sweet daughters graduated were fun and exciting and EXHAUSTING! It felt like we were rushing through special senior year activities and then graduation was a blink. Those summers were filled with planning college dorm rooms and cramming in last family activities before we all separated. And then…poof! There that empty nest sat, just waiting for me to feather it.

Care Packages for College Students: Channeling Your Emotions

I missed my girls. I was 100% thrilled that they were off doing exactly what they (and I) were so happy for them to be doing, but I missed hearing them in the other room. And I certainly missed having help with the dishes. But mostly I missed the dynamic of having them around.

So what’s a mama to do? I channeled my emotions and activity into creating super-fun care packages to mail off to them at college. A care package for college students is a great way to show that you miss them and you’re thinking about them. Care packages can be a fun project for parents – check out these ideas for care package themes and items to include.

Creating Care Packages for College Students – A Fun Project for Parents

As a parent, it’s natural to worry about your child while they’re away at college. But sending your college kid a care package can provide a much-needed boost of encouragement and support. Plus, creating care packages can be a fun and enjoyable activity for parents. Here’s why:

  1. Customization: Care packages offer the opportunity to tailor your gift to your child’s interests and needs. This can help strengthen your bond and show your child that you truly know and care about them.
  2. Creativity: Care packages provide a creative outlet for parents. Many parents enjoy the challenge of creating a fun and unique package for their child.
  3. Connection: Care packages are an excellent way to stay connected with your child while they’re away at college. Even if you can’t be there in person, a care package can remind your child that they’re loved and missed.
