I am a big fan of short getaway vacations to recharge the batteries. One of my favorite types of “I-Need-A-Couple-Of-Days” trips is the Disney Memories – Florida Getaway. David and I try to take at least one weekend away together each year by ourselves, and I highly recommend it.
And. Hello. Disney? Best place for a getaway of any duration of days. It is the Happiest Place on Earth, after all.
And since when I go to Disney I go armed with a camera (or two), I thought I would blog a series of posts chock full of photos to show you how much fun a Disney getaway can be.
It’s also a really great place to shoot a senior portrait session, so hey, seniors! I’m all about a trip to the ‘World for some epic senior portraits. Click that button and ask me how!

But for now…on to Part 1 of the most fun Disney moments ever packed into three days!
Disney Springs is a Very Nice Place to Start
We started our short Disney trip at Disney Springs, where I spent entirely too much time (and moolah) in the Coca-Cola Store. Cause David loves me. And I love an icy cold Coca-Cola, with a side of merch, please.
I honestly could have stayed all day in the Springs, sipping Coca-Cola and searching for more logo items to add to my collection, but soon enough we needed to check in to our first hotel. We stayed at the Pop Century Resort for only one night, but I was excited about it for one very specific reason…the new Disney SKYLINER!!!
Pop Century – Which Decade Do You Live In?
Pop Century is a fun place to stay. The food court boasted a decent breakfast, and the giant decade-themed decorations on the sides of the various buildings are an awful lot of fun.
But my favorite part of this whole resort is the proximity to the new Skyliner system. We checked in, dropped all of our stuff in the room and then walked right down to catch a gondola over to EPCOT for dinner at the International Food Festival.
Disney Memories – Florida Getaway…Perfection
Floating over the Disney properties, slight breeze in the air, side by side with my honey. Disney Memories Florida Getaway? Yes, please.
