Senior story portraits are my favorites, and my true passion as a photographer. But my second favorite kind of portrait session is the Inspired Portrait. An inspired portrait session uses location, props and wardrobe to mimic a particular character, fandom or theme. For little Sofia’s third birthday, we created a series of Disney Moana inspired portraits. She was so adorable!

Disney Moana Inspired Portraits
Sofia’s mom and I coordinated wardrobe (her Moana costume and a special necklace her grandpa brought back from a dive vacation in the Pacific Islands). We chose a pretty stretch of sandy surf at Juno Beach, across from Loggerhead Park, as the backdrop for her inspired portrait story.

Inspired Portraits
Inspired portraits are so much fun! A regular portrait session is carefully crafted to portray your unique story. But an inspired portrait session prompted by a theme or character outside your own personal experience. Some of my favorite inspired sessions were designed to emulate famous movies or TV shows. It’s a fun opportunity to play dress-up, and have some fun with imagination. These sessions are the most kind of fun!

Precious Pretty Princess
Sofia was a serious little princess, but wow! Was she ever beautiful! I couldn’t believe how much she looked just like Baby Moana in the Disney movie.
